About Jess

photo (2)Jess Pervier-Brown has been working in theatre for over 20 years as an actress, stage manager, designer, tech crew, publicist, and director. It has been her sincere pleasure to work with almost every theatre company in Anchorage, Alaska and she looks forward to future opportunities to hone her craft.

As an undergrad at the University of Alaska Anchorage she excelled at stage management and found that “herding kittens” with grace and attention to detail suited her perfectly. Her department even went so far as to hire her back repeatedly, after she received her diploma, as an independent contractor to manage and assistant direct for shows such as New Dances 2014 (which she managed and designed lights for, her design was praised in the Alaska Dispatch News) and Monty Python’s SPAMalot for which she was assistant director and emergency stage manager (the Monday of tech week Tom Skore, director, asked her to step in as stage manager. With less than four days until Opening she was able to get the show running smoothly, keep the cast and crew morale high, as well as train the original student stage manager so that there was a seamless transition between weekends – she was nominated for the Dayle Skore Memorial Award for her grace under pressure and positive attitude).

She was hired by the UAA Performing & Fine Arts Division as a Production Assistant and later Publicist, where she acted as graphics designer, photographer, website developer, and developed the Event Support team structure. It was a pleasure to be working with her former department and helping them grow. Regretfully she left UAA in the Fall of 2015 to focus on her family but you can still frequently find her supporting her alma mater in her spare time.

Since 2008 she has been working as a photographer, operating under the business of Infuse Photography. Her specialty is portraiture with an eye for capturing the personality and spirit of her subject. She has also been the official photographer for the Three Barons Renaissance Faire since then, along with her husband who has been their staff photographer since 2002.
